Tomhannock Properties is a developer of residential lots and subdivisions in northern Rensselaer County, primarily in the town of Pittstown. We are skilled in creating small, rural communities, that fulfill a broad spectrum of housing needs. For example, The Meadows is a high end residential community that requires all homes to be a minimum of 2,400 square feet and finished with wood, brick, or stone exteriors. Some communities are ideally suited to modular or manufactured housing. Other of our communities contain a mixture of housing types, and property sizes. A word of warning: Increased governmental regulations are making it very difficult and expensive to develop residential homesites in the country, and that limits future availability and drives up the cost to consumers. Because of the lengthy approval process, our offerings for the 2006 building season are very limited and more expensive. We wish that were not the case, but it is the reality. Company ProfileThe principals of Tomhannock Properties are Peter E. Gibson and Marvin I. Honig. Both of us have lived in Rensselaer County for most of our lives, and have been business partners for over a quarter of a century. Peter lives in the area and is here to provide "hands on" assistance to help you find and acquire your new home site. We do not build homes, and you are free to select the builder of your choice to construct your new home. Peter is in charge of sales and construction, and Marvin handles our legal matters and approval matters. We have a team of recognized professionals and contractors who help us make vacant land into great communities. And unlike some other developers, we are here after the sale! We have created home sites for well over 100 families in Pittstown, in addition to many in Hoosick and Brunswick.
Route 7 - Raymertown
This 2.8 acre parcel has hundreds of feet of frontage on the northerly side of Route 7 in Raymerton, just east of County Route 123. It has been approved for a residence and has a RCHD approved septic design, but it is located in a hamlet zone that permits certain commercial usage. This lot can be yours for $50,000.
