October 26, 2000 - a day of surprises
for Wendell de Dogg and Bijoux de la Brume Oceane.....
Although Wendell is used to
getting clippered once or twice a year, our Bijoux has never had her hair cut
more than an inch by her human mom. Today was a "red letter day" - we
nervously took her to a recommended groomer who mostly does small white dogs and
we had seen her work on two bichons - both done in a different way - one longish
and one almost to the skin. Our thanks go out to Robyn Rosenthal, breeder and
groomer of Coton de Tulear dogs in Virginia. She sent us via e-mail some
simple grooming instructions and a picture of a long puppy cut for Cotons. The
groomer here, PetPourri, was really glad to get these instructions as she had
never seen a Coton before (like so many people including vets).
Here
are some pictures taken when we arrived home......
these are the BEFORE PICTURES:

AND NOW THE AFTER PICTURES:

Wendell is getting ready to do
his most favorite thing - hunt for Geckos.....

This first picture is one of
typical "doggie" behavior - checking to see if it really is
Bijoux.

Bijoux still looks like a
little lion with the wind blowing in her hair.
Dogs takes you back to the very
beginning of the website.
