In order to separate the dogs from the humans the dogs
wore custom
made bandanas and their humans wore name tags with their dogs
pictures on them.
This year the desserts included a Lemon Cake with French Vanilla frosting
decorated
with all the dogs in attendance as well as Dog Biscuit Sugar Cookies.
There was also
some zucchini fruit bread, fresh fruit, baked beans, meat and veggie lasagna, bbq'd kosher
hot dogs, hamburgers, and boneless chicken breasts and
thighs. All the foods were
served with the idea in mind that the Cotons and
other dogs present like to share
their humans' food.

One of the funniest things happened when CC
Spiliotis-Hill
was sitting on
the floor eating some Greek spinach pie that she and her Mom, Jennie,
brought,
- all of a sudden, there was one of the dogs - grabbed, literally grabbed the
spinach
off CC's plate, put it on the floor and started to eat it - suddenly there were
5 other
dogs surrounding this one - we thought we were going to have a food fight
but
the others just gently backed away and let the grabber eat his just desserts!
A picture is worth a thousand words, here, thanks to Hope Pashos, is the story:
